Husky Creek Kennel is home to 70 racing Alaskan huskies. For the past 15 years JR, Anna, and Ryan have been breeding and raising their own pups for excellence and versatility.
The Alaskan husky is a breed of dogs that has been carefully bred for hundreds of years to be able to handle harsh climates. Their other attributes include: stamina, positive attitudes, and a love of pulling. Alaskan huskies are true team players, their enthusiasm and extreme drive to never give up shows what amazing athletes these dogs are.
On a sled dog team there are specific positions. The lead dog is in the front of the team, behind the lead dogs are the swing dogs, following the swing dogs are team dog positions. Last but not least are the two dogs directly in front of the sled and musher, these dogs positions are called the wheel dogs.
